SWIM & SCUBA SUMMER CAMP
PADI Seal Team
The only swim and scuba camp for kids 8-14 years old teaching all basic and advanced skills underwater in Puerto Rico since year 2000.
Training and certification for young people 8-14 years of age in a heated pool up to 12 ‘deep located in the Guaynabo Aquatic Center, behind the Torrimar urban train station.
- Aquamissions 1-5: Basic diving skills such as equipment assembly, underwater breathing, buoyancy management, safety exercises and others. Upon completion you obtain the PADI Seal Team Member certification.
- Aquamissions 6-15: Advanced skills such as rescue, compass navigation, underwater photography, search & recovery, environmentalism, identification of marine species and night diving, among others. Upon completion you obtain the PADI Master Seal certification.
The camp takes place in a period of ten (10) days between Monday through Friday, from 9am to 2pm. The program is offered in a total of fifteen (15) “Aquamissions” of intellectual and practical development. The daily activity program is carried out in three (3) main stages:
- Diving 9 am-12md – Three (3) hours of theoretical and practical training in progressive order to develop your skills and knowledge.
- Lunch 12 md to 1pm – One-hour break with talks, filling in blogs, videos and sharing in a group.
- Swimming 1-2pm – One hour of swimming exercises teaching freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, elementary and competitive back, scissors, and diving; and water safety survival (rescue, floatation, survival).
- Must between 8 to 14 years old
- A medical statement must be signed to confirm that you are in good health, otherwise get a signed physician approval
- A liability release must be filled and signed by all participants
- It is highly recommended to know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water
- Purchase and complete the PADI educational material
- Watch video of risk & responsibility video and sign waiver
- Basic and advanced swim & scuba training
- Scuba gear rental with BCD, regulator, and tank
- Direct supervision by a certified PADI Instructor
- Excellent facilities with stereo system, lockers, showers, restrooms and gift shop
- Snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, fins, and weights) and additional equipment necessary for specialty Aquamissions (dive light, underwater camera) are not included, but are available for purchase or rent
- Lunch and refreshments
For their part, each participant must acquire the following:
- Educational material – PADI SEAL TEAM: $ 150 per “Crewpack” which includes the printed book with the logbook and assignments, an illustrative video DVD, and the processing fee for the PADI Seal Team Member and PADI Master Seal certifications.
- Personal Equipment – Basic snorkeling and swimming equipment with googles, mask, snorkel, flaps and weights. For the boys of the “Seal Team”, a camera (it can be basic disposable), a waterproof flashlight (you can rent or buy) are required for advanced dives and swimming goggles (must buy).
- Optional Items – There is a selection of equipment that is recommended, but optional:
- Diving – Wetsuit, “mesh” type bag to keep wet equipment, flaps with booties and “strap” to adjust your mask.
- Swimming – Accessories such as “pulling”, “paddles”, “swim snorkel” and swimming board.
- Bags – Every day it is recommended to bring a wet bag with the aquatic equipment and a dry bag with the towel, educational material and change of clothes. It is recommended to bring some change and / or snack in case you want to consume something outside of lunch hours.
- Diving – Wetsuit, “mesh” type bag to keep wet equipment, flaps with booties and “strap” to adjust your mask.
All camps are priced at $ 550 + TAX.
EARLY DOG SALE: if the participant registers and pays before June 30, they receive a 50% discount ($ 75 instead of $ 150). After June 30, the price for the educational material is $150.
Clients with two (2) or more siblings of the same household participating in the same camp can take advantage of the “FAMILY PACK” offer to receive a $50 discount per person off the camp rate.

Open Water Camp
PADI open water training to learn all basic skills and get certified to explore underwater. This camp is for adults and youth 12+ years of age (10 and 11 year olds who have taken the PADI Seal Team can also take the Open Water Camp) at the Escambrón Marine Park. This program offers the option of the PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Diver and/or PADI Rescue Diver with First Aid course. In the case of the “Advanced Camp” and “Rescue Camp” camps, it includes an excursion to carry out (2) training dives at the “Crash Boat” beach in Aguadilla. The end date and destination will be determined by your Instructor.
We do not have buses or chauffeurs to provide transportation. Thus, this needs to be arranged directly with our tour guides. If guests have their own car, then the guide rides with them. If not, then the guide transports guests and gear typically for a goodwill transportation fee of $30pp.
The camp is offered in two (2) stages:
- Aquatic Training: Required swimming and diving practices including skills assessment, equipment setup, confined water training, open water marine training and tours.
- Knowledge Development: Theoretical review to cover the required material that includes decompression tables, assignments doing the “Knowledge Reviews” in 5 chapters, videos and final exam.
- Scuba gear rental with BCD, regulator, and tank
- Direct supervision by a certified PADI Instructor
- Excellent facilities with stereo system, lockers, showers, restrooms and gift shop
- Snorkeling gear with mask, snorkel, fins, and weights are not included, but are available for purchase or rent
- Must be 12+ years. Children between 10-11 years old can take this course, but we recommend first taking the PADI Seal Team program in the pool to help them master their skills before heading out into open water environments.
- Successfully complete a water skills assessment swimming a distance of 200 meters or snorkeling 300 meters, and be able to float for 10 minutes
- A medical statement must be signed to confirm that you are in good health, otherwise get a signed physician approval
- A liability release must be filled and signed by all participants
- Purchase and complete the PADI educational material

Full refunds are applicable for cancellations notified 48 hours prior to the reservation date. A 50% refund is applicable for cancellations notified 24 hours prior to the reservation date. We do not offer refunds for no-show, cancellations made less than 24 hours, or extreme circumstances on-site that may be life threating like thundering, near drowning scenario, or a “Mayday” call.
