Swim & Scuba Training For Kids in Heated pool

Under direct supervision of our certified Instructors and trained Staff, the PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility, respect, and a deep sense of appreciation for the aquatic realm. Including all basic and advanced skills, our training program provides a safe, fun-filled environment for all, regardless of the students’ current aquatic skill level. Furthermore, our participants are touched by Scuba Dogs’ unique sense of love, understanding, and commitment for marine conservation matters that will last them a lifetime.

Training Program: To master the required scuba diving concepts, swimming techniques, and water safety skills, a total of fifteen (15) AquaMissions a taught step by step to safely learn in a progressive manner. These are divided as follows:

1. Aquamissions 1-5: Basic diving skills such as equipment assembly, underwater breathing, buoyancy control, underwater signals, safety exercises, and others. Upon completion you obtain the PADI Seal Team Member recognition level.
2. Aquamissions 6-15: Advanced skills such as compass navigation, underwater photography, search and recovery, rescue skills, wreck diving, fish identification, and night diving, among others. Upon completion you obtain the PADI Master Seal certification.

Day Plan & Logistics: The camp takes place in a period of ten (10) days between Monday through Friday, from 9am to 2pm. A pickup – dropoff time of 30 minutes is permitted to facilitate logistics. The daily activity program is carried out in three (3) stages:

Diving 9am – 12pm:Three (3) hours of scuba diving training, including theory review, equipment setup, and in-water practice to develop your skills and knowledge.
Lunch 12pm – 1pm: One (1) hour break to rest, share with new buddies, enjoy educational films, and record dives in your logbook.
Swimming 1pm – 2pm: One (1) hour of swimming exercises teaching freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, elementary and competitive backstroke, side stroke, diving; and water safety skills like flotation, survival swim, and rescue from drowning.

Shop Location: All activities take place in our excellent facilities at the Guaynabo Dive & Aquatic Center in Gardenville, just passed the Torrimar Urban Train Station. Our facilities include parking, a really cool retail area with all the necessary scuba and snorkeling gear inside our uniquely built fluorescent “Dog Cave”, lockers, restrooms, classroom, and our 40’ heated pool down to 12’ deep where students can learn and enjoy the aquatic activities.

Camp Sessions: The camp takes place in a period of ten (10) days between Monday through Friday. Here are the available dates for the summer of 2024:

1st Camp: From June 3rd to June 15^th
2nd Camp: From June 17th to June 28^th
3rd Camp: From July 8th to July 19th

Requirements

Must between 8 to 14 years old
A medical statement must be signed to confirm that you are in good health, otherwise get a signed physician approval
Participants and guardian must watch the “risk & responsibility” video and sign both waiver and liability release
Students must complete the theory assignments in the book
It is not required, but strongly recommended to know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water

All bookings are subject to change due to factors like weather conditions, staff availability, quorum and unexpected events.

Cancellation Policy

Payment is required to make your reservation; this confirms your commitment with us. Our duty is to coordinate all resources needed to render the best available service; that is our commitment to you. Full refunds are applicable for cancellations notified 48 hours prior to the reservation date. A 50% refund is applicable for cancellations notified 24 hours prior to the reservation date. We do not offer refunds for no-show, cancellations made less than 24 hours, or extreme circumstances on-site that may be life threatening like a storm, near drowning scenarios, or a “Mayday” call.
