THE EXPERIENCE

Snorkeling is an effortless and relaxing activity that allows us to glide over the ocean and explore the amazing wonders that surround us underwater. However, for those new to the activity, it could potentially be overwhelmingly difficult and even dangerous without proper preparation.

This is why we’ve created the “Snorkeling 101 – Dive Into Adventure” experience.  It not only includes the full snorkeling service treat, but also an educational skills review and training practice in shallow waters. It’s designed to better service families with kids and beginners wanting to safely explore our lovely Caribbean waters.

Enjoy an exciting, guided experience with our dive professionals to explore and encounter lovely tropical marine life, while becoming a more skillful snorkeler to better enjoy this and upcoming adventures anywhere else you choose to travel.

TOUR DETAILS

Consider the main components of this service:

    • Price – Varies per location; $25 discount per person available with 2+ participants
    • Duration – 2 hours total time with approximate :45 in water
    • Private Tours – This is a unique service available for double rate. It’s designed for customers wanting to receive a more personalized experience with an exclusive guide assigned to you and/or your party.

STEP BY STEP

Let’s break down the main phases of your adventure:

    1. Register – Sign up with our service coordinators at the dive shop counter
    2. Site Brief – An exciting welcoming review of the site’s historic and ecological heritage
    3. Get Comfortable – Store your belongings in lockers and get changed in our private restrooms
    4. Gear Up – Select and don the best fitting equipment for you
    5. Safety Brief – Learn the best tips and logistics plan from our certified dive professionals
    6. Aquatic Tour –Skills practice in shallow waters, followed by exciting tour to explore the site
    7. Get Changed – Drop your gear in the rinse tank, wash off in freshwater showers, and change into dry cloth
    8. Gift Shop – Visit our kiosk to purchase any gifts, light food, snacks, and refreshments

WHAT’S INCLUDED

This experience service includes:

  • Excellent Facilities – Gift shop, lockers, restroom, showers, storage, swings, and seating area
  • Gear Rentals – Mask, snorkel, fins, and inflatable vest
  • Basic Training – Skills review and practice in shallow waters
  • Aquatic Tour – Time to glide, interact with marine life, and explore the site
  • Guided Experience – PADI Divemasters and/or Instructors; fully trained and certified professionals

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

Consider the following options for your adventure:

  • Swim Wear – Please bring a bathing suit; rash guard or wetsuit is available for purchase or rent
  • Transportation – Rental car, taxi or Uber are recommended

 

CRITERIA TO JOIN

All participants must meet the following requirements for this service:

  • Skills – None required, this is a beginner-friendly experience
  • Age – No minimum or maximum age limit established
  • Guardian Approval – Minors under 18 years old must obtain an adult guardian approval to participate
  • Safety First – All participants must be in good health. Kindly fill out and submit this medical waiver to confirm you are safe. If you have a health issue, you are required to see your physician for a medical approval.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Following are answers to some of the most common questions and concerns:

  • How is the Snorkeling 101 different from the Snorkeling Tour? The regular Snorkeling Tour does not include a skills training session.  After entering the shore, our professional guides lead the group directly into deeper waters also exploring further out to open water environment, weather permitting.
  • Can children participate without a guardian adult? Yes, anyone under 18 years old can participate independently.  However, to go by themselves they are required to know how to swim and must have their guardian’s signed approval.
  • Are refunds granted if one cannot perform the activity? No. Our guides truly make the best effort to assist our guests and deliver on our mission as “Diver’s Best Friend”. However, there are many factors that are out of our control like the weather, visibility, temperature, marine life encounters, people’s comfort level in the water, etc. and this is in no way a service shortcoming on behalf of Scuba Dogs.
  • Is the equipment properly sanitized? Yes. After all the gear is washed in our freshwater rinse tank with high-contact items like masks and snorkels then transferred into a sanitizing bucket mixed with bleach to fully disinfect before reuse.

Cancellation Policy

Payment is required to make your reservation and our duty is to provide the best available service; this is our mutual commitment. Full refunds apply for cancellations notified in writing 48 hours prior and a 50% refund when notified 24 hours prior to the reservation. We do not offer refunds for cancellations made less than 24 hours, no-shows, or extreme circumstances that may impede continuing a service.

AVAILABILITY AGREEMENT

All bookings are subject to change due to factors like weather conditions, staff availability, quorum and unexpected events. If a reschedule is necessary, your flexibility to properly coordinate services is greatly appreciated.

PROCESSING FEES

All prices are based on our service only. A 17.5% processing fee is added at checkout to include the 10.5% state tax, 1% municipality tax, and 6% service fee. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding.
